Experience

·          Experienced in single-crystal diffraction measurements, data processing, structure solution and refinement of inorganic, metal-organic and inorganic materials with four-circle Oxford Diffraction (KUMA) diffractometers equipped with point detector or CCD camera and low temperature device. Treatment of weak diffracting samples, unstable crystals, twins and crystals with phase transitions (investigation of temperature dependent evolution of cell parameters with point detector diffractometer, as well as structural description of phase transition mechanism).

·          Powder diffraction measurement experience on PANalitycal X’Pert PRO, Stoe image-plate and Bruker D8 ADVANCE diffractometers, phase identification, indexation, structure solution, Rietveld refinement and SAXS measurements.

·          Some experience with interpretation of X-ray images obtained from Laue, rotation, Weissenberg and Debye-Scherrer cameras.

·          Simple synthesis and crystallization of organic, inorganic and coordination compounds.

·          Some experience with mass spectroscopy, NMR, electron and vibrational spectroscopy.

·          Skilful handling in working with SHELX, CSD, WinGX, Platon, Mercury, XP, Diamond, Powdercell, Fullprof, X’PERT Highscore Plus etc. in X-ray single crystal and powder diffraction studies.

·          Experience with Windows and Unix workstations. Programming skills in Pascal and Delphi.
